Nothing and Everything

The Block Spring 07 in Mesquite

SUU Football... right before I had my face painted

I have nothing in particular to write about today... I just feel like writing... or should I say typing. With all this time on my hands I hardly know what to do with myself. Don't get me wrong... I love having a break from work. I have a lot of stuff to do I just end up being lazy and don't really want to do anything. And so that is my summer life.

Some things that have been on my mind lately is how many things change as you go through life. How many friends you once had who have moved on to bigger and better things. How you yourself have moved on to bigger and better things. How the people you once called your best friends have drifted away and the only reason you still know what is going on in their lives is because of myspace or facebook. Well at least technology now a days allows us to still keep track of our old friends. If I didn't have my computer or cell phone I think I would never keep in contact with anyone. All the same it's nice to catch up with friends who you lost contact with and then found them online. I truely love the time period I live in. I love the technology era!!!!

People are always saying enjoy the time in your life that you are living at this very moment. Don't live in the future or the past. I have truely taken that to heart and I have really tried to live my life in the now. Yet there are always things that I look back on and wish I could go back to. I still look forward to things that will happen someday. I think back on college and just SMILE. I had the college experience of a life time... one of those experiences that they talk about in the movies. I loved every minute of it. I had a hard time when it all ended... even though I had been waiting for that moment for ages. I wasn't one of those people who drag out their college life.... who try and stop the real world from creeping into their lives. I took as many classes as I possibly could so that I could get through college faster and get on with my life. Though I don't regret it I wish that it would have lasted a little longer.

I look forward to having a family some day. Almost all of my married friends have kids. I get so jealous. I have always been baby hungry... I have always loved children. But just lately have I really wanted to have a child of my own. I have wanted to go through all the experiences even the ones that I know are not all that exciting. And even though I want all of that right now... it's not going to happen for awhile. Rob is not ready for a baby. Plus there are millions of people who keep telling me to wait. Not to have kids until I have a house and everything is completely stable. As wise as that sounds I know millions of other people who had kids before they had a house and before they were completely stable and they are making it through life just fine. They are completely happy and content. I shouldn't complain though... God has never given me something that I couldn't handle.. and he has always provided for me. So I will go on with my life content with what I have and enjoy the life that I am living. Because after all that is what everyone says... don't live in the future or the past... live in the now.
