There's a group of mom's that invited me top a bunch of things...including a book club which is going to be awesome. Plus there are other kids for blaine to play with. It is exactly what I needed now that I am staying home instead of working.
So we're been here a month and they gave both rob and I callings. Now I just left my ward in farmington as the relief society secretary and I thought I might get a bit of a break, but the lord had other plans for me. I was called as the young womans 1st counselor. I'm really nervous about this calling i'm not gonna lie.
While living here for this month I have realized how different it is being a member here. There are girls who are the only member in their whole grade. There are only a handful of members in their whole school. With that in mind I realize how truly important it is for these girls to have great leaders. I remember how big of an impact my leaders had on me and still have on me. I am just praying that I can be the leader they need. I really want to let these girls know the importance of living the gospel.
So along with only having one ward there are not enough young women to have individual classes. So we have no teachers called. It is only the 4 presidency members. We teach all the girls and plan all the activities. My bishop said that it has been over 2 years since a young woman received her personal progress medallion. We have our work cut out for us.
On the flip side we have an awesome president who is turning into my great friend. The 2nd councilor and secretary are also wonderful. I think we have a good presidency. I really really want to be there for these girls. Wish me luck!
P.S. Rob was called as the young mens secretary. We are both going to be busy helping the youth!

Congrats on the new calling! I love the YW! It sure makes me want to apologize to my leaders for being such a pill sometimes but it is awesome! It is a lot of work though! You'll do great!
